  • Simply call our Housing Team who will be pleased to arrange a no obligation property valuation. We will meet you at the property and advise you of any areas that may need addressing prior to leasing your property.
    We begin by submitting the property for a postcode check, which normally takes 48 hours to complete. Once accepted, we work with the landlord to get the relevant compliance documents and do any necessary repairs to bring the property up to "Decent Homes Standard." We schedule our Inventory Clerk and set a handover date once everything is finished. We estimate that it will take 2–4 weeks from start to finish.
    All utility bills and council tax will be transferred to the tenants. During the term of the contract, the tenant will be liable for all utility bills and Council Tax.
    All payments are made by an automated BACS system. Payment will usually take 1-2 working days to clear into your account.
    The rent agreed will be the rent that you receive from Citywide Housing every month.
    You will be advised of this prior to signing a contact. This is what makes us unique and favourable to our landlords, we always aim to pay above market rents.
    Yes, every month you will receive a payment statement which will state the amount of rent you have received during the preceding term.
    You will need to check with your mortgage lender whether your mortgage terms allow you to let your property.
    You will require the following documents to lease your property. Please use the following landlord checklist:

  • Copy of valid Electric Certificate
  • Copy of valid Gas Safety Certificate
  • Copy of valid Energy Performance Certificate
  • Copy of Building Insurance
  • Copy of valid Fire Risk Assessment Certificate
  • Copy of Land Registry Title
  • In West Yorkshire region the local Authority have waiting lists of 55,000+. Greater Manchester 82,000+ South Yorkshire 63,000+ North East 50,000+ Humberside 22,000+ Lancashire 33,000+
    The RP manages the house with assistant of local managing agents.(Citywide housing Group)
    We do charge a monthly service fee, however it is added to the rent that you and we have agreed on.
    Whether the house is vacant or not, our RPs are contractually obligated to pay the rent every month with no void periods; it is a continuous rental arrangement.
    The Landlord will be liable to pay the mortgage and insurance on the property. Other yearly costs will be the annual gas cert (This will be deducted of rent for that month). Boiler Service cover insurance is recommended. If the property has a HMO licence it’s the Landlords responsibility to ensure this is renewed when deemed necessary.
    The majority of RP leases are for three to five years, however some require lengthier leases of up to ten years. All leases have the option to be renewed beyond the original period.
    Each property has a Housing officer who is accountable for the property and its occupants; weekly inspections are carried out, and any possible threat or misuse is immediately addressed. All leased items must be returned in their original condition.
